Description
These lovely creatures are Birrin, the creation of the absolutely fantastic , and are my favorite aliens ever.
My strengths lie in cartoons and expressions, so I wanted to try some on his aliens, only to find the only close-ups of how their heads work are out-of-date, and I could not zoom in on the images enough, so I had to guess.
I also realized that most of the animals I draw are either mammals or birds, and ended up incorporating a lot of their features into their faces (Birrin have lips, right?), and ended up treating the audio-receptors on thier eye-stalks as ears.
The laughing Birrin is wearing make-up by the way, and has learned hand gestures from hanging out with humans too much.
I have another larger-scale picture of Humans and Birrin interacting, but I'm stalling until I know that remotely approves of what I've done with these guys.

Did Abiogenesis ever approve of the Birrin-Human interaction drawing you have? I was joyed to see someone task themselves with making a wholly alien face expressive, and I found the part where it described the laughing Birrin doing hand motions as a thing they learned from hanging out with humans kinda funny!
