A very small, very colorful succulent I did for Color pencil II, which the people at the garden store where I got it have been unable to identify. I think it might be related to the Jade plant, but I'm not sure. It's about five inches across, if that helps. AHA! We found the tag! I like that this festive little thing is called "Lola". It's related to hen-and-chicks, and a bunch of other popular houseplants. More here: [link]

This one was a blast to draw because I got to use almost every pencil in my box.

Media: Faber-castel Color pencils
Time: About five hours, sketch to finish

Is this perhaps also called a "jade plant"? I have a photo here: [link] I also did a painting I'll be posting soon. Interesting that we'd pick the same subject.

No, I've got the name, I just forgot to update it.
What your friend has got a hold of there is something in the Echivera family, but it's definitely not a jade plant. It's still an awesome subject.

It's beautiful :) I like how it looks quite realistic but that at the same time, one can totally recognize your style.

Wow, this is gorgeous, I love the colours and blending. You captured the succulent's natural texture really well, it looks meaty and slightly waxy.

Thanks! I was worried about making it look juicy from a top-angle.

No, you avoided that well, it looks realistically textured. There are some very similar succulents where I spend my summers, so these at once looked super accurate to me. :D
