Description
In carbon dust class we were told that we could bring in non-botanical samples, so one of the ladies brought in a TOTALLY COMPLETE House Sparrow Skeleton that she had found inside an unused wood stove she bought from a neighbor. It had apparently flown down the chimney and been unable to get out, and assorted bugs and fungus had completely cleaned the skeleton, except for some cartilage, the Trachea, and the main wing and tail feathers.
I felt bad for the little guy, but his (her?) skeleton was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, and I wanted him to fly again, so here he is, taking off.

My dad has a dead humming bird on his window sill in his office....it doesn't seem to decompose cause it's been there years and it still looks the same.
