Land-Whale for Crazylittleloon by Allison-beriyani Land-Whale for Crazylittleloon by Allison-beriyani
Ages ago, I promised The Great Loon a land whale, and I eventually drew it for her, and then It couldn't make the oceanic trip to her.
So here it its.
The original was an Orca, but for some reason, I ended up with a sperm whale, the one least likely to try to get back to the terrestrial life.
And while he's really a light gray, new scanner has some calibration issues.
Still I feel that The White Whale was appropriate.
Hey Ahab, better get some wheels on that boat before he gets to Finland and is incorporated into their world domination plan.

I hope you like this, and Merry VERY belated Christmas!

That is one fine land whale, really digging the way you roughed it up, nice scars and spots.

Sea whales are lumpy, banged-up and scarred.
Why shouldn't their terrestrial cousins be?
He also needed wrinkles and saggy elephant-like skin.

Streamlining I guess isn't important when all you have is wind resistance.

Unless you're actually trying to fly.
Then it's a mickle important.

Proper bone density and non-collapsing pulmonary structures are much more important on land.
Now that I'm thinking of it, he's in a much brighter area and can probably see his fellow terrestrial whales pretty well, so they need some fancy pigmentation.

They don't see in colour, more like black light. So contrast is more important to a whale. Just so you know.
And you are right about the non collapsing lungs.
