Hey, remeber the new ponies I promised you?

New ponies.

This is a present for a very good friend of mine who is movig to Vermont soon, and loves Lord of the Rings and Ponies. So I combined the two.

I wanted to come up with poni-fied names for all of them, but after "Gandalf Greymane" I got stuck. Halp? EDIT: ~RaenBoow came up with Pegolas and Boro-mare, though we're not sure about that last one. and now there's also Gimlicorn. Keep going people!

If there is something more adorable than hobbit-ponies, I don't want to know what it is, because I'll die of cute overdose.

I figured that the dwarves would be unicorns in order to do all that smithing stuff, and the Elves would be Pegusai in order to get up into their beloved trees. Humans/psuedogod wizards are whatever.

I like to imagine Bill the Pony is off to the side, still carrying all thier crap, and going "WTF?"

Is is bad that my favorite part of this whole thing is the lettering? Because I'm f*cking proud of that.

Media: Color pencil on top of makers.
Time: About twenty hours, but most of that was re-doing the original sketch and watching the movies for color references.

Lord of the rings, and all of it's associated characters were written by J.R.R. Tolkien, and the epic movies were made by Peter Jackson and Wingnut Studios. All copyrights to thier respective owners.
Allthings My Little Pony; Friendship is Magic were created by/belong to Luaren faust and Hasbro Inc.
