Regarding my last journal: allison-beriyani.deviantart.co…

The reason I had to go out and hit my trees was because it was snowing, and as most of them had not lost their leaves yet, I had to go knock the snow off them so that their branches don't break off.
I am pleased, however, that when presented with such an odd post, most of you supported my life choices.

The Rake, however, was broken, so I ended up using a broom.
After ensuring the structural safety of my trees, I decided to take a stroll around the neighborhood to see the snow before it got all plowed and shoveled and trod on. Being that it was fout in the moring, I was quite alone, and it was rather lovely. I decided to hit some of my neighbors fruit tress too, and swept out the driveway of one of my less physically capable neighbors, so it was getting close to dawn when I decided to go back home.

And for some reason (Probably sleep deprivation) I decided that this would be an excellent time to try a musical number.
I'd had Gene Kelly's "Singing in the Rain" stuck in my head most of the day, and I preformed that, though with significantly less grace and vocal talent.

Imagine, if you will- a small figure in a red parka waving around a broom, jolting in a vaguely rhythmic manner to a poorly-warbled version of "Singing in the Rain", along the snowed-in streets of a quiet rural neighborhood shortly before dawn.

I got quite into it, going so far as to engage in the great puddle-splashing number right at the end- kicking/sweeping snow all across the road before I finally get to my mailbox, and realize I have an audience.

Behind me for I"m not sure how long were Juan and Carlos, the fine gentlemen who deliver my morning paper.  There was a few seconds of awkward silence between us as the waited in the truck a few feet away, staring at me.  There was really only one way to handle the situation.

"I'm singin' *takes Paper from Carlos* "and dancin' in the Raaaaain..." *strolls down the driveway and into house.*

I hope that improved their day.

You have to know that I solemnly support all your life choices.

I hope you didn't frighten them too much.
