The inked version of the WIP monster earlier.
Needs a little more work, I think, and color, but I like the black-and white version too.
We've been studying Albrecht Druer and Flemmish engravers in class lately.
The Wendigo is a Native American legendary monster that's the personification of either winter or starvation- one consistent thing is that it forces it's victims to run to the point of collapse before it picks them up and carries them away to be eaten. This poor guy would have been safe if he'd managed to get into the trees.
I like the swoopy background. Makes it more onminous.
